The Most Memorable ShaoShan

The “Most Memorable is Shaoshanchong” performance is based in Shaoshan, the hometown of the greatest man in Chinese history. With great poetry and red songs as the soul, the performance activates the sustained vitality of red culture. The performance is in ten parts: Sunrise from Shaoshan, Water in the Hometown, Pursuits, Song of Autumn, Waiting, Seeing off the Red Army, Sunshine in Zunyi, the Long March, a New World, and Most Memorable is Shaoshanchong. Through the use of a 180° mirrored-frame stage and innovative painted scrolls that combines poetry, music, light, shadow, and Chinese paintings, the permanence vividly depicts how Mao Zedong, the founder of the new China, handled kinship, pursued truth, and struggled for the benefit of the Chinese people. By vividly reproducing the unchanging local accent and sentiment, the performance presents a magnificent revolutionary scroll of China, and the faith, original intention, and mission of its greatest man.

Combining poetry, music, sound and light technology, the soul of a great man, and red culture, the performance powerfully moves the audience. “Most Memorable is Shaoshanchong” is an innovative expression of visual impressions of red culture that utilizes modern concepts, advanced technology, as well as bold attempts to digitize artistic concepts and breakthroughs in the collision and integration of traditional concepts with cutting-edge technology, resulting in a new landmark for cultural tourism performances that combines both red memory and technology.
